Canny kicks helps foster a sense of belonging, socialisation, and fun in a safe and supportive environment.
Canny Work has recently worked with SEN support groups across the North East. Through our involvement, we have helped young people and their families thrive by providing tailored sporting guidance, practical strategies, and early intervention support. Our team has worked closely with, professionals and parents to ensure young people’s SEN needs are properly understood and met.
We have supported families by helping them navigate SEN processes, access appropriate resources, and feel more confident advocating for their child’s needs. For young people, we have offered personalised support that builds independence, strengthens emotional wellbeing, and helps them develop positive routines both in and out of school. By working collaboratively with all involved, we aim to create consistent, meaningful progress that empowers young people to achieve their full potential.
"We booked a Canny Kicks session for our group of children who have various SEND needs. Chris led the session and he truly understood the needs of the kids. He encouraged them all to take part without pressuring them and allowed them all to engage at their own pace and do what they wanted to do. All of the children came off the pitch with the biggest smiles on their faces. Parents commented on how relaxed the session was and how understanding and supportive Chris was as a coach."
